Don’t lose out in the “summer slide”… come to TLC!
If you have a student that struggles in school, taking the summer months off is just not an option. It only puts them further behind and exponentially fuels what educator's call "the summer slide" or "summer learning loss". Instead, use this free time as an opportunity to get them ahead in their academics.
Summertime at TLC balances individual with small groups. We make academic learning FUN and productive too.

Our Featured Summer Small Groups:
Our Math Small Groups focus on developing automaticity with math facts. Students master addition, subtraction, multiplication and/or division equations for automatic recall.
"Our 4th grade son did not like school because he detested reading and math. We started our son on a 10 week intensive (5 hours per week) program working at the core of the issue. After 10 weeks, his teachers said, "Whatever magic they are doing over there, we want some." Maria and her team of motivating and trained clinicians took a 10 year old who was struggling and gave him the tools to work on it himself. Now his fluency and comprehension are way up as measured by the school and the TLC!"

Our Writing Small Groups focus on comprehension, higher level thinking, sentence development, essay writing and creative writing. Handwriting Small Groups are also available and pair well with Writing Groups.
“The first thing I notice every time I visit TLC is how happy the students seem and how friendly the staff and students are to each other. Maria Bagby is a caring and enthusiastic professional with exceptional expertise and a dedicated staff. They address the complexity of reading with a wide array of services and are sensitive to the whole well-being of the child. I feel confident recommending any family to TLC”
